GEAR REVIEW: Grizzly Fishing Sunglasses

If you have been on social media lately and you have searched anything fishing related, you have probably come across the ad for the Grizzly Fishing sunglasses. The ads are everywhere and they claim that these sunglasses are game changers, so how do they stack up?

*****DISCLAIMER: I DID NOT PURCHASE THEIR HIGH-END SUNGLASSES I ORDERED THE CHEAPEST SUNGLASSES ON THEIR LIST*****

What I Like

Let's start with the most important part of the sunglasses, the lenses. These lenses are 100% polarized. If you've ever used sunglasses that are not 100% polarized you know how much of a difference that makes! Cutting glare is not a problem for these glasses. I can't speak much for how well they help me see into the water because most of the water I fish has little to no visibility, so I'll have to report back how they do on clear water when I get to some! I do like that the company sells replacement lenses, so if they get messed up, I don't have to buy a whole new pair. In terms of comfort, these sunglasses are very light, when they say "Feather-Light Frames" they mean it (more on this in a minute), so they are very comfortable to wear. The nose piece is really comfortable and doesn't slip off of my nose like some other glasses I've tried in this price point. Another big thing in terms of comfort that I am really picky about is how they sit on my cheeks. If I smile I don't want my cheeks to push the glasses up and these glasses fit my face probably better than any other pair that I've tried.

What I Don't Like

Remember when I said these frames were light? The first thing I said when I picked them up was, "these feel cheap" and durability is a real concern to me. Maybe they are just light and the frames will be able to take a beating. I'll either update this post or create a new one after a longer time frame to let y'all know! Another thing that really bugs me, and this is not unique to Grizzly, in fact a lot of brands do this, but I HATE when brands make their lens color not match the mirror coating that they put it on. If I purchase a pair of sunglasses that has a red/orange lens from the front, I am NOT expecting to see the world in a blue tint! Man, that bugs me.

Is it Worth it?

Let's be honest. This is a decent set of polarized glasses, and I got mine at $30 for the first pair and half off of the second pair, which was really a decent price. On the website, the pair I purchased was listed at $59.99 and there is no way that I would pay that much money for this pair of sunglasses. Bottom line, decent is the best word I can think of for these glasses. Would I buy them again? Sure at $30, but I have yet to see anything to make me believe that these glasses stand above most of the other brands out there.
